Aritzia September 2015 Sales

Aritzia is my all time favorite store for casual clothing and work clothing. My favorite brands are Babaton and Wilfred. A lot of the clothing pieces I buy, I try to wear them for both work and casual situations. Aritzia clothing pieces are a little expensive, but it's totally worth it if you catch the items on sale. I only bought two items, but here is what I bought:

Wilfred Lafond T-shirt Soft, slightly sheer shirt that is surprisingly warm. This shirt works for me because I actually wear it with a black pencil skirt out like how it is styled on the site.

Wilfred Alsace T-shirt Lacey, sexy shirt to wear on a night out. I would even wear this in the office with a solid black tank underneath and a blazer over it.

Faux Leather Pencil Skirts

I recently purchased a faux leather skirt from Ann Taylor. I think it's an excellent fall piece. Leather is a very tough material. I like to pair it with light and airy blouses for fall. Because the cut is so classic, you can get away with this piece in a casual office setting.

Contrasting Tie Neck Blouses

Pretty bow blouses are definitely my favorite piece of the season. You can wear them at the office without looking too stuffy. You can also pair them with jeans for a casual look.

Here are my top favorites for this season:

This Long Sleeve Tie Neck Blouse from Express. A loose fitting top with a contrasting black tie. Could be worn buttoned up or leave the top two buttons unbuttoned and still be office appropriate.

Similar top from H&M here.

Similar top from Banana Republic here.

Trench Coats

With the upcoming fall season, a trench coat makes an excellent addition to my work wardrobe. It's professional enough to wear over my work outfit and casual enough to wear with jeans on the weekend. Perfect for those 60-70 degrees chilly fall mornings.

This is the trench coat that I recently purchased off of Zara. It's neutral in color so it easily matches with any outfit. It's also a great cheaper alternative to Burberry trench coats that can cost a month's worth of rent.

I'm currently working on building my work wardrobe and there are a few pieces of clothing that I'm looking to buy. Mainly a leather pencil skirt. I would also like to purchase more blouses and some heels for work. I'll make sure to post another update when I buy some pieces I love.

Orange Is My New Favorite Color

I never used to like orange until this summer. Turns out, orange is also the color of Tory Burch's packaging. I'm absolutely obsessed with orange nails, orange lipstick, and orange eyeshadow. Also orange clothing purchases!

These shorts show up more red toned on the Aritzia website. In real life, they are a bright orange-red. I'm currently buying new pieces of clothing to add to my wardrobe so I have more outfit options other than t-shirt and jeans. The only thing about these shorts I don't like are that they are dry clean only.

I knew that I wanted to own a backless dress this year. This dress is great for New York City's hot and humid summers.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks

It's that time of year again. I always enjoy shopping in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale event because of the great discounts on their clothes. Here is what I bought this time.

Simple and elegant white blouse that is flexible to wear to work or casual occasions. Wear it with dress pants, pencil skirts, or jeans. Wear it under a blazer or cardigan to keep warm.

Pretty heather grey dress that is perfect for looking put together while running errands. Cute neckline brings out collar bones and waist tie brings in waist for a more figure flattering look.

When it comes to work, I love dresses. I don't need to fuss with matching bottoms to tops. A nice dress make you look instantly more put together even though you didn't put a lot of time into your outfit. Just throw on a pair of nice heels and flats and you're out the door. It would also look great with a blazer or cardigan on top.

Reasons For Starting A Blog

I've always been bad at writing and my writing has been even worse now that I graduated college and I don't practice. I decided to start a blog to improve my writing skills and to record and share my interests and hobbies.

On this blog, I will write about anything that's been going on in my life: new hobbies, dating, makeup, skincare, fashion, my purchases, reviews of items, funny pictures and reviews of restaurants. I hope to vastly improve my writing, focus in on content, and the design of this blog.
